চাকুরির প্রস্তুতি ইংরেজি-১

GERUND AND PARTICIPLE :

Gerund=verb+ing;যা noun এর কাজ করে।

অবস্থান দেখে Gerund নির্ণয় পদ্ধতিঃ

১)Sentence এর শুরুতে  subject হিসেবে verb+ing থাকলে Gerund হয়।

যেমনঃ1.Swimming is good exercise.

          2.Walking is a good habit.

২)Preposition এর Object হিসেবে verb+ing থাকলে Gerund হয়।

যেমনঃ1.The customer grew tired of waiting.

          2.There is no credit in earning money illegally.

৩)মূল verb এর Object হিসেবে verb+ing থাকলে Gerund হয়।

যেমনঃ1.It has started raining.

          2.He has stopped smoking.

৪)To be verb এর Subject এবং Object হিসেবে verb+ing থাকলে Gerund হয়।

যেমনঃ1.Seeing is believing.

          2.Educating is enlightening.

Participle:

Participle=verb+ing যা Adjective এর কাজ করে। 

Participle ৩ প্রকার।যথাঃ

1.Present Participle 

2.Past participle 

3.Perfect participle 

Present Participle:Verb এর base form এর সাথে ing যুক্ত হয়ে Adjective এর কাজ করলে তাকে Present Participle বলে।

যেমনঃ1.Bangladesh is a developing country.

          2.Do not get down from a running train.

Past participle:

Verb এর Past participle Adjective হিসেবে কাজ করলে তাকে Past Participle বলে।

যেমনঃ1.America is a developed country.

          2.We are an educated nation.

Perfect participle:

Having এর পর verb এর Past participle থাকলে তাকে Perfect Participle বলে।

যেমনঃ1.Having gone to College,I met the girl.

          2.Having done the work,I went to Dhaka
